We did it! You, me, and everyone else has made it to the last full week of academics of sixth grade. Your first year at Griffin is almost over, and I can guarantee that next year will not be the same as this year: different teachers, different classrooms, different connections, different friends. I will be on the 6th grade enrichment hallway and am looking forward to seeing you again! If you are missing any assignments, please email me and I can send you the link of what you can complete to get a grade for that topic. [email protected] This week we will finish out the Rock Cycle and the last two types of rocks, Metamorphic and Sedimentary. As a Mother's day gift to myself and you :) there is not a cheesy science video starring me. Part 1: Read this Interactive lesson on Metamorphic Rock. Part 2: Watch the Geology Kitchen video on Metamorphic Rocks. Pay attention to Regional Metamorphism and Contact Metamorphism to understand the two ways metamorphic rocks are formed. Part 3: Read through this Starburst Lab Activity, then watch someone completing the lab. After you have watched the video, go back and answer the questions in the lab on your own piece of paper. And if you have 3-4 starbursts at home give it a try! Comments are closed.
