Today we worked on an activity where students were to plot, label and color coordinate the ocean floor features. Many students did not get done and will need to finish at home. Below are the tools they will need.

Last week we began exploring the ocean floor. Due to the block schedule, I had a lot of time to let the kids watch relative videos that linked the learning to ocean floor footage. Students enjoyed viewing places we will most likely never get to visit.
I sent home progress reports to all students who currently have below an 80%. Most of the students who's grades fall below an 80% have missing work. I know we are all getting tired, but we still have a good bit of the year left. Please remind your students of the importance of keeping up with their work in all classes. Homework: Monday students will need to have completed the following assignments: 1. Cornell Notes - began these Wednesday and Thursday of last week 2. Exploring the Ocean Floor - worked on this in class on Friday, we will grade these on Monday Week of 3/4-3/8 This week we will be finishing the ocean floor and get ready for the unit test. Monday: ocean floor quiz and ocean floor plotting - for a grade Tuesday: pre-test assessment to determine what concepts students are missing, work on test review Wednesday: discipline remediation based on pre-test assessment Thursday: unit test Friday: test corrections and introduction to layers of the earth |
