We have begun a new unit...the MOON! We completed a fun activity where students experienced moon phases. This is usually a hard concept for kiddos, however they have grasped the content much faster than I anticipated. Homework: They have a little homework over the next few days. They have a field report to complete where they will look up at the moon and record their observations. They will also have to predict what phase they think will be coming up. This is a great way to see earth science in action! Donations: Since students have been doing so well with moon phases, I have pushed up their assessment. They will be taking a practical assessment next week over moon phases and eclipses. I love to work with food. If you would be able, I would love to have some cookies donated to the class. (Like they need any sweets after Halloween...) I am in need of: Butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies (crunchy or chewy), mini Oreo's. If you are able to help donate, I would greatly appreciate it. Science Fair: Many students are behind. They all wrote, in their agenda, what they need to be doing to be on schedule. They should be completing their experiment next week so they will be able to collect data to compute in math class this week.

This is where they will collect their data, questions, and all things science fair. It is important they all have one by NEXT TUESDAY. I am attaching copies of the science fair guidelines below. I will keep class copies for any student who may need/want them. Conference week Please contact your students homeroom teacher regarding conference week.
