Yep you read right, you have 1 assignment this week. You will be creating a comparison of the Earth’s layers. You will be comparing the density, temperature, thickness, and composition of each layer and how it compares to others. You will create something…. Literally ANYTHING to compare the layers of the earth. Step 1 It can be a PowerPoint, skit, brochure, cartoon, GoAnimate, rap, cake, cookies… literally ANYTHING! Have fun just remember to GIVE ME ALL THE CONTENT. Please look at the file attached that says Earth’s Layers. This is a template for the information you need. You can recreate the attached form if you like.
Step 2 Upload your creation to FlipGrid for your class. Click on the buttons below to go to your classroom’s grid. Step 3 I would like you to comment and view your peers work. BUT there are rules:

Have fun MISS YA'LL LIKE CRAZY!!!!!
Mrs. N Good Morning. I hope you are all able to stay current with your work. The best thing I can recommend is that you STILL USE YOUR AGENDA. I know it can be easy to put things off because the due dates are longer than normal. However, I see where this is creating some stress for some of you. Please, try the best you can to do the work for the classes you would see that day. Try to stay on the M-F rotating block schedule as best as possible. This is will make your life easier. Notes first: I have double booked myself today so the ZOOM times will have to change. I will still have the 10 am ZOOM but lunch and PM ZOOM have changed. Please make notes of the changes! You will still use the buttons in Mondays post to go to ZOOM. Nacho Lunch 12:00-12:30 Afternoon ZOOM 1-2 Session 2 - You will have 3 steps to the assignment. Welcome to the second week of online learning. This week we will beginning a new topic. I have created a YouTube video that will take you through the activity. Feel free to pause the video as we work through together. This fist session has 3 parts: Hard-boiled egg activity, textbook assignment, and form. Please watch the video before proceeding. STEP 1 You will need 1 UNPEELED hard-boiled egg cut in half. If you are unable to get / make a hard-boiled egg, you can follow along with the video. However, the activity is much better if you use your own egg 😊. Video below!!!! Please create the drawing of the egg and the table on a separate sheet of paper (example below). You will have a quick form to complete so I can gauge your understanding. (See button at Step 3 of the blog post.) Procedure for Part 1 - Observe: 1. Place the hard-boiled egg on the paper towel and GENTLY tap the egg on a hard surface. Be careful to keep the different portions as complete as possible. CAUTION: DO NOT TAP THE EGG TOO HARD OR TOO MANY TIMES!!! 2. Trace along several of the large cracks with the colored pencil or crayon. 3. Diagram A: Sketch a diagram of the front (yolk side) of the egg AND give a short description of each layer. Diagram B: Sketch a diagram of the rear views of the egg to show where the cracks are located on the shell. Diagram A: Front View of Egg (where you see the white and yolk) Draw diagram here Diagram B: Rear View of Egg (where you see the shell) Draw diagram here Procedure for Part 2 – Dissection: 4. VERY gently begin separating the layers of the egg. Use your table to record your findings. You should have 4 distinct layers dissected. Egg Layer Description Feels like....... 1. 2. 3. 4. Step 2: Go to the online textbook. You have one assignment waiting for you. Complete the assignment. You may choose to take notes on the material. Step 3: Complete the form below.
