We have been working hard on the water cycle. Tomorrow, we will be testing over the topic. However, this test will look different than tests in the past. I have added long response questions on past tests and students have been doing much better. This test will be all long response. Students will be constructing a CER (Claim, evidence, reasoning) answer to a question regarding the water cycle. We spent the entire class period today going over CER and comparing it to RACE strategies that students use in ELA (it is basically the same thing...). We worked as a class and students got to practice. I am attaching the article in case they need to continue to work at home. If I didn't see a sample of their work in class, I asked them to finish it at home so I an quickly go over it tomorrow before the test. (I want to make sure they are on the right path).
